Façade Designer - Southampton Location: Southampton (Hybrid / Remote Working Available) Salary: Competitive Salary Benefits (DOE) Job Type: Permanent - Full Time About the Company Our client is a leading specialist contractor within the façade remediation and cladding sector, delivering high-value refurbishment and external envelope projects across the South Coast and wider UK. Due to continued growth and an increasing project pipeline, they are looking to recruit Façade Designers across all levels, from candidates with 2 years' experience through to Senior Designers. The Role Working as part of the design team, you will support the delivery of façade and cladding remediation projects from initial survey stages through to fabrication and construction issue drawings. The role offers hybrid/remote working with travel required to live project sites across Southampton and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Produce and update technical façade design drawings Carry out site surveys and collect accurate site information Coordinate with project teams, commercial teams, and manufacturers Develop fabrication drawings for procurement purposes Ensure designs comply with project specifications and regulations Attend project and coordination meetings Assist with resolving technical and design-related issues on live projects Support quality assurance and technical compliance across projects Review and amend drawings based on site conditions and design updates Requirements Minimum 2 years' experience within façade or cladding design Experience with rainscreen cladding, EWI systems, or façade remediation preferred Strong AutoCAD skills essential Revit and SketchUp beneficial Good technical understanding of construction detailing Ability to manage workload across multiple projects Strong communication and organisational skills Architectural, engineering, or construction-related background preferred CSCS card advantageous Full UK driving licence preferred Suitable Candidates May Have Experience In Façade Design Cladding Remediation Rainscreen Cladding Building Envelope Systems Architectural Metalwork External Wall Systems Façade Engineering Benefits Hybrid and flexible working arrangements Competitive salary and package 33 days holiday including bank holidays Pension scheme Private medical insurance Life assurance Employee assistance programme Clear progression opportunities within a growing business Location & Travel This role is hybrid/remote with regular travel to project sites across Southampton, Hampshire, Dorset, and surrounding areas as required.
