About The Role
Please note: This vacancy is for Days 33hrs per week, working over a seven day rota. As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do, touching upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. You will have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to our residents.
For you, that will mean planning and implementing the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families – helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, be responsible for maintaining high standards of care, and be a positive influence on the team. You may assist residents with activities such as using a walking frame, helping with meals, or communicating with a resident’s family. You will also support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, and be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.
One key responsibility is maintaining accurate records of your work and building strong relationships with your team.
Responsibilities
* Plan and implement care to give residents a sense of security, dignity and independence.
* Develop and deliver truly personalised care plans by getting to know residents and their families.
* Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain the highest standards of care.
* Demonstrate kindness in all interactions, including helping with mobility, meals, and communicating with families.
* Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, provide activities, and administer medication as required.
* Maintain accurate records and build strong team relationships.
Qualifications
* Ideally, Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care (S/NVQ) and prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
* Background in person-centered care planning and dementia care.
* Strong positive energy and ability to get along with people.
* Good record-keeping and time management skills.
* When communicating with residents or coworkers, show kindness and consideration.
