Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) - Erith, Greater London
Teaching Personnel's PWR team is seeking a passionate and dedicated SENCO to join a forward-thinking academy in Erith. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to lead and shape the SEND provision across the school, ensuring all students receive the support they need to succeed academically and personally. The position is available for a September 2025 start, or sooner for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading the strategic development of SEND provision across the academy.
2. Ensuring high-quality teaching and interventions for pupils with SEND.
3. Managing the SEND budget and resources effectively.
4. Overseeing statutory assessments and EHCPs.
5. Monitoring and reporting on the progress of SEND students.
6. Providing professional guidance and training to staff.
The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it). Proven experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice are essential. Compensation will be according to the Leadership Payscale (Outer London).
