The Ophthalmic Outpatients service is based at two sites: the NNUH and the Central Norwich Eye Clinic at Grove Road Clinic in Norwich City Centre.
Responsibilities
* Under the direction and supervision of the Nursing team, the successful candidates will participate as integral members of the team to help provide a quality service.
* Promote and implement practice conducive to high‑quality patient care by providing professional support and guidance to all service users.
* Demonstrate awareness of own professional responsibilities and consistently uphold the NNUH ‘PRIDE’ values.
* Practice in accordance with the code of conduct for healthcare support workers and articulate the purpose of the code.
* Adhere to the uniform trust policy and other NNUH policies consistently.
* Act as a role model to others, always projecting a professional image.
* Understand the duty of care and the boundaries of the HCSW – Clinical care role.
* Carry out tasks and instructions of registered professionals relevant to the area to support patient care, such as collecting blood for transfusion, preparing equipment for theatres, and collecting medication from pharmacy.
* Participate in audits as required.
* Develop self‑awareness, build resilience, foster relationship building, practice self‑care and adapt to change.
