About You
You are an experienced project planner with a proven track record of managing complex schedules for major energy, infrastructure or construction projects. Comfortable working with Primavera P6 and other planning tools, you’re adept at integrating cost, resource and risk data into robust project schedules. You can critically assess contractor programmes, communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.
You bring:
* Strong experience in project planning within energy, construction or infrastructure sectors.
* Proficiency with Primavera P6 (or similar).
* Excellent understanding of SIMOPS, resource loading and interface scheduling.
* Experience with earned value management, change control and integrated reporting.
* Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
About the Role
As Senior Project Planner, you’ll play a key role in developing, monitoring and reporting project schedules across a portfolio of low-carbon and flexible energy projects. You’ll report to the Project Controls Manager and work closely with Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing, maintaining and coordinating project schedules across all phases.
* Forecasting and integrating project costs, resources and milestones.
* Performing scenario planning and “what-if” analysis to manage risk and identify mitigations.
* Coordinating with internal teams and third-party contractors to ensure schedule integrity.
* Analysing contractor schedules for feasibility, resource alignment, SIMOPS and health checks.
* Reporting on variance, milestones, and potential risks, and recommending corrective actions.
* Embedding lessons learned and supporting project controls strategies across the portfolio.
