Join Our Clients Dynamic Team as a Receptionist!


Are you ready to become the warm and welcoming face of a reputable legal firm? We are seeking a presentable, enthusiastic, energetic, and reliable individual to join this busy administrative team. The firm provides clear legal solutions to both business and individual clients throughout Devon and Cornwall, and are looking for someone who can help us continue that tradition of excellence!



Position: Receptionist


Contract Type: Permanent


Location: Barbican, Plymouth (only a 19-minute walk from Plymouth train station)


Salary: £24,-£25,K dependant on experience


Hours: 8.30am-5.00pm Monday-Friday



What You'll Do:


As the Receptionist you'll be the heartbeat of the office, taking on a variety of responsibilities. Your role will include:



1. Greeting clients with a calm and friendly demeanour

2. Managing a busy telephone switchboard

3. Engaging discreetly with clients while they wait

4. Assisting with one-off administrative tasks during quieter periods

5. Collaborating with a small administration team to cover reception and telephone needs

6. Directing clients to the appropriate services within the firm

7. Accepting documents into the office from clients

8. Issue visitor badges to workmen when they arrive at the office

9. Ensure that the reception area is always clean and tidy

10. Direct new enquiries to the appropriate solicitors / legal assistant

11. Attend departmental meetings as and when required to discuss issues concerning the reception

12. Act as a witness on the signature of documents, as required

13. Sort the morning post for signature by the partners

14. Photocopying or scanning documents and pos.

15. Liaising with outside agencies ie: stationers, printers, cleaning company and other suppliers and workmen as required

The ideal candidate will possess:



16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

17. A warm, friendly personality

18. A professional appearance and the ability to maintain a tidy workspace

19. Mental agility and the capability to discreetly multi-task

20. Basic computer literacy and the drive to efficiently manage administrative tasks

21. Ability to engage discreetly with people whilst they are waiting in reception





Experience:


While experience is preferred, it is not essential! If you're enthusiastic, eager to learn with great people skills, we'd love to hear from you!
