We are looking for non-emergency Patient Transport Service (PTS) Ambulance Care Assistants to join our team. We have 0 hour positions available based across South Yorkshire. You must have a full UK manual driving licence to apply for this role. You will support patients, their carers and healthcare representatives, transporting them on journeys to and from healthcare appointments, and helping hospitals discharge patients when they are fit enough to leave a hospital setting.

At times you may work on your own, or as part of a double crew, transporting a wide range of patients across Yorkshire and Humberside.
We serve a population of over five million people across Yorkshire and the Humber and employ over 7,100 staff and 1,300 volunteers to provide a 24-hour, seven-days-a-week emergency and healthcare service.
Responsibilities
* Support patients, their carers and healthcare representatives on journeys to and from healthcare appointments.
* Assist with hospital discharge when patients are fit to leave.
* Provide polite, professional customer service and adapt communication to meet individual patient needs.
* Carry out manual handling tasks as required and work as part of a team or solo as needed.
* Travel across Yorkshire (and Humberside) to support a wide range of patients.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Full UK manual driving licence (required).
* Ability to work on a flexible basis, including 0 hour contracts; willingness to cover varying locations across South Yorkshire.
* Ability to communicate with a wide range of people and adapt approach for best customer service.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a double crew.
* Nice-to-have: experience in patient care or customer service in a fast-paced environment; ability to remain calm under pressure.
