CCL Global is currently recruiting for several Construction Engineers (Mechanical/HVAC/Equipment/Piping) to work on HPC. The successful applicant will be part of the team responsible for discharging construction duties onsite under a JV scope.
Location: Hinkley Point C site.
Type of Contract: Permanent or IR35 contract.
Responsibilities:
* Delegation of responsibilities to CE’s/Works Coordination Leads. Lead, manage, and motivate the team through implementation of best practice.
* Deliver Discipline Specific Construction Work Pack scope of works to support construction activities.
* Define scope of works boundaries.
* Liaise with SME’s and client counterparts.
* Ensure documents are compliant with latest works information and other documentation.
* Keep documents up-to-date and review at least every 6 months.
* Own and drive deliverables from conception to A-Accepted status, aiming for >90% first-time acceptance.
* Prioritize and own documentation to enable construction as per level 4 plan, e.g., T-3 months accepted prior to works.
* Support continuous improvement programmes.
* Report directly to the Building Manager or deputy.
* Demonstrate positive HSE leadership and build a strong, compliant HS&E culture throughout the project lifecycle.
* Ensure compliance with nuclear safety and site license requirements.
* Review and provide feedback on resource adequacy for support functions.
* Deliver Construction Work Packs supporting the JV programme.
* Use Procon system to support construction and progress reporting.
* Coordinate Work Authorisation and Permit systems with NNB.
* Coordinate safe access routing to workfaces.
* Coordinate topographical and other surveys needed for construction.
Qualifications & Experience
* Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
* Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering).
* Ability to obtain Security Clearance (BPSS or higher).
* CCNSG Safety Passport.
* IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience leading multi-disciplinary (Mechanical / HVAC/ Piping) teams in construction.
* Proven track record in nuclear power preferred.
* Experience in major construction projects, ideally nuclear or power generation.
* Experience as an Engineer or Senior Engineer, including within Joint Ventures.
