The role of Deputy Local Service Manager will include:
1. Managing, recruiting, developing, and training staff within appropriate legislative or NVQ frameworks and devising effective and well-run staff rotas
2. Promoting best practice to ensure quality services are carried out by staff
3. Ensuring effective support systems are in place and that we operate in a fully compliant way
4. Supporting Local Service Manager in effectively managing the void process on any empty properties
5. A good understanding of health and safety
6. Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and relevant external agencies with the proven ability to liaise effectively with statutory and voluntary partners
7. Occasional travel may be a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is desirable
Skills and experiences:
8. Proven management or supervisory experience gained within a social care environment is essential
9. Previous experience of working in a CQC regulated environment is preferable
10. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
11. Compassionate, understanding, and hard working with a hands-on approach to help achieve supportive outcomes
12. Good written and strong communication skills
13. Experience working with relevant client group
14. Prior knowledge of support planning, risk assessment and safeguarding
15. Previous experience working under challenging circumstances
16. Confident user of IT systems
