About the role
Pay Details: Grade 8, SCP 26-30, £37,280 - £40,777 p.a.
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 37 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm & Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
Main Place of Work: Civic Offices, Holton Road, Barry
Description:
Recovery and enforcement of Council Tax through to final stages including Charging Order and bankruptcy hearings. Leading and supervising teams dealing with Council Tax administration.
About you
You will need:
1. Extensive experience of working in a Local Taxation environment
2. Extensive experience in dealing with financial matters
3. Experience in working with fully computerised systems
4. The ability to effectively act as advocate for the Council at Court and at Valuation Tribunals
5. Able to deal confidently and effectively with customers.
6. Able to deal with customers in difficult situations.
7. 5 GCSEs grade A to C grades / O levels including English and Mathematics or equivalent
