The NI Lighthouse Hostel is a compassionate and committed organisation supporting homeless men, many of whom face complex challenges such as mental health issues and addiction. We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and well-connected individual to join us as a Volunteer Fundraising Champion.
About the Role:
This is a volunteer position ideal for someone with a strong background in fundraising and a heart for social impact. The right person will help drive forward our fundraising strategy and enhance our financial sustainability through diverse income streams.
We are looking for someone who:
Has proven experience in a wide range of fundraising activities (events, grant applications, campaigns, etc.)
Possesses existing relationships within the business sector and can open doors to corporate sponsorships under Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) frameworks.
Is knowledgeable in legacy giving and can guide potential donors and trustees on long-term charitable bequests.
Understands charity law as it applies to fundraising, including compliance, transparency, and governance.
Can advise on and help develop fundraising policies and procedures to ensure legal and ethical standards are upheld.
What You’ll Do:
Champion our cause in your networks and the wider community.
Develop and advise on strategic partnerships with businesses and sponsors.
Assist in crafting a road map for long-term, sustainable fundraising both restricted and unrestricted.
Provide guidance on legal and best practice aspects of fundraising activity.
