We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Deputy Care Manager to support the delivery of high-quality patient transport services for individuals experiencing mental health crises. Based at Roseberry Park Hospital, you’ll work with a dedicated team to ensure patient safety, dignity, and professional standards are maintained throughout every transfer.
This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, healthcare experience, and a commitment to team development, clinical safety, and patient-focused care.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Support the Area Care Operations Manager in overseeing day-to-day transport operations
* Lead, coach, and develop a team of healthcare transport professionals
* Ensure the safe, respectful, and efficient transport of patients in line with clinical standards
* Monitor and enforce compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, and quality standards
* Act as a role model for professional conduct, communication, and values
* Manage rotas, shift planning, and on-call support as required
* Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of staff
* Conduct performance reviews and support team members through supervision and coaching
* Handle incidents, concerns, or escalations appropriately and professionally
* Coordinate with internal teams and external healthcare partners to ensure service continuity
* Oversee vehicle standards, equipment checks, and ensure readiness for deployment
* Assist with audits, quality assurance processes, and service development projects
* Deputise for the Area Care Operations Manager as needed

What We’re Looking For
* Full UK Manual Driving License (required)
* Enhanced DBS certificate within the last 3 years (preferred)
* Proven experience in a supervisory or deputy management role (preferably in healthcare or secure transport)
* At least 12 months' driving experience in a relevant setting
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, patient rights, and clinical best practices
* A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach
