Join Tesco as a Customer Delivery Driver working in the Nottingham Long Eaton area. This role involves more than driving; you will deliver to customers’ homes and provide great service with a smile.
Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 per hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location. It is Tesco policy to offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with options for as few as 12 hours if needed.
Availability windows are shown in the schedule; contracted hours will be set within these times with 3 weeks notice of shifts. We aim to support flexibility if your available times are close to the advertised windows.

Pay and hours
Pay starts from £13.35/hour, rising to £14.56/hour in certain locations. Minimum 16 guaranteed hours per week (or 12 hours minimum if requested) with scheduled shifts provided in advance.
Responsibilities
* Delivering your part of the customer shopping trip and ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy.
* Leaving the area clean, tidy and free of rubbish; picking up litter as needed.
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process and ensuring the van is loaded and roadworthy.
* Communicating with customers about order changes, substitutions and refunds as needed.
* Care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
* Informing customers that substitutions will not incur extra charges; delivering within the customer’s time slot.
* Calling the customer before arrival if early and contacting the store if running late.
Requirements
* Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit and ensure the store is the best for customers.
* Warm, welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues; understand customer needs and show appreciation.
* Ability to respond quickly to changing customer needs and adapt to store changes.
* Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and work life.
* Share ideas with managers and colleagues to improve the store for customers.
* A valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
