Kitchen Porter Cambridge
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £25,480
Hours: 40 per week
An established international boarding school for ages 14+ in the heart of Cambridge, catering for 300 students and teachers daily. The role involves core feeding of breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is a 7-day operation, with shift patterns typically 5 over 7 days. Good transport links are available to this location.
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team at our prestigious Cambridge location.
Your responsibilities include maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Key skills:
* Experience in pot wash duties is advantageous
* Excellent customer service skills
* Great team player
* Assist chefs with food prep
* Maintain cleanliness standards at all times
* Clean and maintain kitchen equipment
* Operate industrial dishwasher
* Clean heavy catering equipment following instructions
We are looking for:
* Experience as a Kitchen Porter is preferred but not essential
* A positive, can-do attitude
* Strong organizational skills
Knowledge / competencies:
* Good understanding and use of verbal English
* Good standard of written English and reading skills
* Experience in customer service or food prep environment is a plus
