We're looking for a Senior Onboarding Calculations Consultant to join our Award Winning PRT business. As a Senior Onboarding Calculations Consultant you will play a key role in supporting the transition and administration of Defined Benefit Pension schemes. You'll be part of a collaborative team, who apply technical expertise to complex benefit structures and help shape the onboarding experience for our clients and members. This is a hybrid working opportunity, which means that you can split your working week between home and the office to find a work‑life balance that works for you.
Responsibilities
* Calculating individual Defined Benefit quotations and designing tailored communications
* Leading on complex schemes and acting as a subject matter expert for the team
* Reviewing and quality checking benefit calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Managing the end‑to‑end onboarding process for new Defined Benefit schemes
* Designing and delivering training to support customer understanding and fair treatment
* Facilitating valuation updates, bulk transfers and other scheme activities
* Liaising with internal teams and third parties to ensure smooth transitions and handovers
* Keeping stakeholders informed to support excellent customer outcomes
Qualifications
* Pension qualification such as CII or PMI, or equivalent experience
* Strong understanding of Defined Benefit Pension schemes and benefit structures
* Knowledge of relevant legislation including GDPR, TCF and HMRC guidelines
* Ability to manage tight deadlines and prioritise effectively
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences
* Proven leadership and mentoring experience within a technical pensions environment
* Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to delivering good outcomes
* Confidence working independently and collaboratively across teams
