Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the Role
This is no ordinary teaching role. As an SEN Teacher at Miller House, you’ll have the freedom and support to teach creatively, adaptively, and with purpose—ensuring every pupil is given the tools and encouragement they need to thrive. You’ll be working with pupils with autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs, planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that spark curiosity and confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering inspiring lessons tailored to individual needs
* Observing and assessing student progress and wellbeing
* Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
* Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to support holistic development
* Contributing to whole-school development and maintaining our strong safeguarding culture
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a qualified, enthusiastic teacher with a strong understanding of SEN and a passion for unlocking potential in every student.
You will:
* Hold UK QTS or equivalent
* Have a solid understanding of working with students with autism, learning difficulties, and/or complex needs
* Be a confident and adaptable communicator with pupils and professionals alike
* Be creative in your approach to teaching and learning
* Be eager to contribute to a collaborative and supportive school environment
* A strong background in Maths or English is desirable but not essential
About Us
Miller House School is a brand-new school under Acorn Education and Outcomes First Group located in Stonegate, Leicester. The school opened in September 2025 and has a capacity for 80 pupils ages 11-16 years and will be a co-educational provision for pupils with complex needs including SEMH.
