The Opportunity
Digital Solutions Engineering team seeks an experienced and flexible IT specialist to serve as a Team Manager working with the Business Lines team. You will support definition and delivery of new solutions and create, pioneer and revise solutions for benefit of engineering functions across the business.
Your initial focus will be on current improvement initiatives, potentially small and large solution designs, and project/task management responsibilities in early project stages. A key driver is to retain and build internal enterprise knowledge.
You will work with architects, analysts and integration specialists to improve standards and repeatability of application offerings across the group, supporting key lifecycle management applications and learning new toolsets.
Qualifications
* Broad knowledge of IT and information systems in defence-level environment; knowledge of MBSE tools and awareness of agile techniques is an advantage.
* Experience in enterprise application lifecycle management of information systems, including solution design, acquisition, testing, release and deployment; appreciation for operational needs. Proven solution skills required; training can be given for specific architecture skills such as TOGAF, UAF, DODAF.
* Ability to coordinate internal and external resources with high technical competence to ensure solutions meet operational and security standards required for defence industry.
* Experience with industry tools for Product Lifecycle Management, Engineering Lifecycle Management and Service Lifecycle Management is desirable, e.g. PTC Windchill, IBM ELM/Jazz, CARL Source, Pure:Variants, Ansys, Dassault 3D Experience.
