GSL Education are looking to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a welcoming school in St Leonards. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity beginning in September, ideal for someone committed to supporting the progress and well-being of pupils with additional needs. Role Overview: As an SEN TA, you’ll support children with diverse learning needs, helping to create a supportive, structured, and encouraging learning atmosphere. You will assist both in and out of the classroom to ensure pupils remain engaged, confident, and included. Responsibilities as an SEN Teaching Assistant: Offer tailored support to students with SEN, either individually or in small groups. Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN staff to deliver personalised learning strategies. Encourage independence and emotional resilience in pupils. Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment. Maintain accurate notes on pupils’ progress and behaviour when required. Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with children with SEN is preferred. A calm, compassionate, and supportive manner. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
