Business Systems Analyst Hybrid working Cullompton As a result of continued growth, we have a vacancy for a technical Business Systems Analyst to join the Gregory Group Technology Team. The position of Business Systems Analyst involves: Owning the configuration, maintenance, support and continuous improvement of our critical line-of-business systems solutions in line with our objective to provide visionary logistics solutions to our customers. Managing and carrying out both ad-hoc and planned configuration changes as well as system updates and new feature releases which support project delivery and continuous improvement. Configuring and implementing our standard system solutions into new operations or for new customers. Migrating activity from legacy systems onto our group standard systems. Optimising system solutions to ensure same standards of solution is in place across the group and being well utilised by our people. Maintaining and managing relationships with key external system vendors to support either solution delivery or resolution of escalated support issues. Partnering with operational business areas to optimise system solutions which add value to our business and make it easier for our people to do their jobs. Working with 3 sub departments within IT to ensure smooth running of all IT operations effectively. This will include making sure systems are secure and well supported. Delivering system updates and defining test requirements, writing test scripts, carrying out and coordinating system testing alongside changes, updates, and implementations. Maintaining system related documentation including process flows, training materials and support content. Contributing to the planned roadmap for system changes and improvements. Delivering critical care following changes and new implementations and supporting service transition to BAU. Participation in the Technology on-call rota. Essential Skills or experience required Business Systems Analyst : Minimum of 3 years experience of configuring IT applications ideally logistics / ERP / TMS / WMS / Finance or HR systems - but other equivalent systems experience will be considered. High-level of technical proficiency, IT aptitude and a general interest in technology, systems and software. Excellent customer focus and confidence in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders including key customers to the group. Critical thinking and analytical mindset to problem solving. Full UK Driving Licence as travel will be required for this role. Desired Skills or experience required for Business Systems Analyst: Data Management or Analysis skills SQL or similar. Experience of working with systems we use would be an advantage e.g. Mandata TMS / Manhattan SCALE / Sage X3 / MHR iTrent Why Gregory Distribution? Salary for Business Systems Analyst offer in the range of £34,000 - £38,000 per annum dependant on experience PLUS potential £1,500 on call allowance depending on systems supported.
