Role Overview Intelligent Servers is a leading provider of refurbished IT hardware, specialising in HP, Dell and Cisco. We are looking for both a Goods In Technician and a Goods Out Assistant to join our secure and growing business based in Harrogate. Reporting to the Goods In and Goods Out Managers, you will be working alongside a Warehouse based team of almost 20 staff where you will play a vital role in our warehouse operations. Our Goods In Technicians ensure the accurate receipt, inspection, and booking-in of incoming IT hardware; our Goods Out Assistants ensure that every order is packed and shipped accurately and efficiently, playing a crucial role in the final stage of our order fulfilment process. Key Responsibilities (Goods In) Booking in stock accurately and efficiently Confidently testing the following components with training; - CPUs -DIMMs -PCIe cards -SUs -RAID controllers and batteries Following company ‘standard operating procedures’ documents Checking POs are correct on arrival; -Cross checking the content of inbound deliveries, when they arrive, with any open POs on internal systems to determine which PO the hardware belongs to -Checking the full content to ensure the hardware is correct in part numbers and quantity, and is cosmetically sound -Reporting any issues back to the Purchaser Confidently navigating and using internal systems Locating stock in the warehouse Identifying and escalating issues to management as they arise Manual handling of hardware Driving the company van to transport stock for sales order deliveries and purchase order collections on an ad hoc basis (long distance deliveries/collections may require overtime and/or occasional overnight stays) Key Responsibilities (Goods Out) Picking and packing fragile items to the required standards Competently locating stock throughout the Warehouse using internal software and the stock locating guns Arranging domestic and international shipping Arranging domestic and international collections Carrying out international shipping quotation requests Generating commercial invoices Conducting physical hardware check requests Carrying out general warehouse duties including topping up order points with internal stock and notifying a manager when internal stock becomes depleted Performing rolling stock takes when requested Using internal systems to identify and search for missing stock items Identifying and escalating issues to management as they arise Manual handling of IT hardware Driving the company van to transport stock for sales order deliveries and purchase order collections on an ad hoc basis (long distance deliveries/collections may require overtime and/or occasional overnight stays) Required Skills and Experience · Previous experience in a warehouse environment and/or an interest in Enterprise IT hardware would be desirable · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written · Ability to work independently; self-driven and motivated with strong attention to detail · Strong organisation and time management skills Requirements for Van Driving · Holds a full license which has been valid for at least 1 year · Has no more than 3 points on your license, nor have been subject to a driving ban in the last 5 years · Hasn’t had more than 2 incidents/accidents/claims made against you with in the previous 24 months (excluding those recovered from a third party) · Has not been advised to stop driving by DVLA or a medical practitioner due to medical conditions · For insurance purposes, you must be at least 21 years of age Salary and Benefits · Salary of £24,000 · 23 days’ holiday 1 day per year served, up to 28 days · Working hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm (37.5 hours per week) · Company pension scheme · Group life assurance scheme · Cycle to work scheme · Company events · Friendly, supportive work environment in a growing tech company with development opportunities
