We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Research and Development Lead on behalf of an exciting biotechnology start-up in Newcastle on a permanent basis.
Our client is an expanding business within the molecular diagnostics research and development space. They are pioneering nanotechnology with AI-driven innovation to deliver biosensing solutions.
Salary:
£40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Location:
This is a full-time office base position in central Newcastle.
The successful candidate will play a key role in leading engineering projects on behalf of the business. Successful applicants will have a strong mechanical and hardware engineering background, to complement the existing electromechanical and electrical team.
About you:
To be considered for the role, you will have the following skills and experience:
Degree background in Mechanical Engineer or similar
Industry experience in mechanical and hardware design within a start-up environment. Life Sciences, Biotechnology or Medical Devices industries would be a strong advantage.
Opto-mechanical design experience such as microscopy alignment, lens, cameras, and imaging systems would be desirable.
The ability to lead engineering projects and support team members to achieve overall project goals.
Confidence working in a fast-paced start-up environment, with a willingness involved in a variety of tasks.Apply:
