Claims Manager - Insurance Brokerage (Southport)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Claims Manager to lead our dynamic team in a fast-paced brokerage environment. This role requires a confident and strategic professional to oversee the claims operation, drive performance, and provide exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of claims handlers
Review individual performance and provide constructive feedback
Manage team workload and allocate resources effectively
Identify training needs and support professional development
Ensure timely and accurate claims processing
Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations
Resolve escalated complaints with professionalism and empathy
Conduct regular audits and implement quality control measures
Analyse performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes
What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in claims management within the insurance industry
Strong leadership and coaching skills
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
A passion for continuous improvement and client satisfaction
Knowledge of industry regulations and best practises

Location:

Southport (Office-based)

Salary:

Circa £45,000

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and coaching a team of claims handlers. You will also review individual performance and provide constructive feedback, manage team workload and allocate resources effectively, identify training needs, and support professional development. Additionally, you will ensure timely and accurate claims processing while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. As the go-to expert for complex claims and escalations, you will also be responsible for resolving escalated complaints with professionalism and empathy, conducting regular audits, and implementing quality control measures. Moreover, you will analyse performance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities and collaborate with other departments to streamline processes.
