About the Role
The Deputy Head of School works alongside the Head of School and the NHS England East Midlands Postgraduate Dean to lead the delivery of a wide range of functions aligned with the NHS England mandate.
The Deputy Head of School is professionally and managerially accountable to the Head of School and supports the Head of School in focusing on improvement of learner supervision, assessment and experience, faculty engagement and ensuring effective educational outcomes, now and in the future.
The role is evolving and also focuses on whole workforce transformation, developing multi‑professional links, innovative ways of curriculum delivery and workforce well‑being strategies.
Deputy Head of School will work across the spectrum of health and, where relevant, social care so that the provision of education reflects changing service models and delivers an integrated workforce comprising individuals from a spectrum of professional and other backgrounds.
Deputy Head of School will support the Head of School in leading the School and Education Providers to deliver the changing curriculum in an evolving service landscape and will be required to lead on projects as agreed with the Head of School.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head of School to improve learner supervision, assessment and experience, engagement of faculty, and ensure effective educational outcomes.
* Contribute to whole workforce transformation and develop multi‑professional links, innovative curriculum delivery and workforce well‑being strategies.
* Work across the health spectrum (and where relevant social care) to ensure education reflects changing service models and delivers an integrated workforce.
* Assist the Head of School in leading the School and Education Providers to deliver the changing curriculum in an evolving service landscape.
* Lead on projects as agreed with the Head of School.
Secondments
