Job Description Job Title: Financial Accountant Department: Finance Reports To: Financial Controls & Compliance Manager Location: Gillingham / Hybrid Overview: Reporting to the Manager for Control Compliance, the candidate will be responsible for Statutory Accounts and Technical accounting Job Responsibilities: The role holder will be expected to be responsible for the following: Statutory accounts preparation. This includes 14 statutory entities and 6 dormant entities in the UK and Ireland. Group accounts and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries Posting and maintenance of leases in compliance with US GAAP standards. Maintaining a strict controls process to ensure compliance with internal policies Posting of tax entries Assessment of technical accounting measures as they arise and implementation of any new accounting standards Support Finance team with closing out of any Internal Audit matters Provide support to foreign subsidiaries with any technical accounting issues Company secretarial duties Ad hoc projects /tasks as required Job Skills & Experience Required: To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following: Qualifications: Newly qualified in either ACA, ACCA or CIMA Skill & Experience: Have good technical knowledge of US GAAP and FRS102 standards Knowledge of Caseware software Be able to work with a complex accounting package Be proficient in excel at an advanced level Person Specification: We believe the type of person best suited to this role will be: Have a strong attention to detail Be able to build strong relationships with key members of staff and other management accountants in the team Be driven to deadlines whilst maintaining strong financial accounting integrity Our benefits include: A competitive salary 25 days holiday a year, with ability to buy up to 5 days holiday each year Life Insurance Cycle to Work scheme Subsidised gym membership Access to Health & Wellbeing Apps Employee discounts A hybrid, flexible working culture About Henry Schein: At Henry Schein, our mission is to provide innovative, integrated health care products and services; and to be trusted advisors and consultants to our customers - enabling them to deliver the best quality patient care and enhance their practice management efficiency and profitability.
