Job Overview
Amore Complex Care invites a patient‑centric support worker to join our nurse‑led team, caring for a lady in her 50s who requires clinical support including PEG feeding, tracheostomy, stoma and catheter care. You will receive comprehensive training during induction; once completed, pay rises to £15.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day support to a patient requiring maintenance of PEG feeding and stoma management
* Assist with tracheostomy care and catheter management
* Use hoist and wheelchair for patient mobility
* Follow clinical protocols, document care activities
* Collaborate with the nurse‑led training programme, shadowing, and peer support
* Maintain consistent care within a single site shift, no travel between sites
* Assist in communication using eye‑gaze methods, encouraging and reassuring patient
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in supporting patients with complex medical needs is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Willingness to receive training and shadowing from a registered nurse
* Availability for 8 am – 8 pm shift patterns
Team & Support
* Staff support the patient in a 2:1 ratio
* Team undergoes comprehensive induction tailored to the patient's clinical needs
* No uniform required; casual attire accepted

About the Patient You Will Support
Age: 50s, social, competent, enjoys concerts, shows, shopping, music, hairdresser visits, watching films.
Medical background: Brain stem stroke causing paralysis from the neck down, locked‑in syndrome history, limited speech, uses eye‑gaze communication.
Clinically requires: tracheostomy, PEG feeding, stoma, catheter, hoist and wheelchair mobility.
Aspirations: attend concerts with best friend, time with family.
Shift Information
Shift pattern: 8 am – 8 pm days, available.
Where the patient lives: Hoylake, near the beach, quiet area.
