Are you ready to take the lead in shaping HR services? As a Senior HR Business Partner, this role will take a lead account management for our HR service to over 150 schools in Nottinghamshire. Your role will be vital in delivering HR solutions that align with school priorities and those of the wider Education Service. You will manage a small team of HR professionals, ensuring they provide great services to our council departments and schools. A key priority is delivery of our People Strategy which supports the Council in achieving the outcomes set out in the Council Plan.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead and Inspire: Manage a small team of senior HR practitioners to drive the development of the HRWOD service and lead the relationship with schools and school trade union colleagues.
* Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with senior leaders to shape and implement council-wide HR initiatives.
* Advise and Assist: Provide expert guidance on people management and development support.
* Drive Change: Help improve service delivery through innovative HR solutions.
* Project Management: Oversee corporate-wide HR-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
* Budget Management: Take responsibility for budget management within your areas of responsibility, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
* Support and Develop: Foster a culture of continuous improvement within your team.
Required Skills And Qualifications
* CIPD (Level 5 or above), or equivalent qualification/level of experience.
* Extensive experience in HR management, including knowledge and experience of working with schools in a HR capacity, preferably within a public sector environment.
* In-depth knowledge of school terms, conditions, and working practices to effectively support our educational institutions.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across various levels of the organization.
* Proven ability to deliver on strategic organization/service-wide project work in alignment with our People Strategy.
* Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Proven ability to manage teams effectively and deliver results.
