We are recruiting for a Locum Consultant in Adult Psychiatry at Tameside General Hospital. Shifts are from 09:00am to 17:00pm, Monday.
Beckett Place is a ten bed step‑down secure unit for women with severe mental illness and complex needs. Tatton/Beckett is a long‑term low secure service for adult males.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and management across the Adult Psychiatry service.
* Conduct assessments, formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans.
* Deliver high‑quality care in acute, rehabilitation and step‑down settings.
* Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
* MRCPsych or FRCPsych or equivalent.
* GMC Specialist Registration for Adult Psychiatry.
* Full GMC registration with a specialist licence to practise.
* CCT in Adult Psychiatry.
* Approved by health board under s22 of the Mental Health Act.
* Current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check.
* UK Right to Work.
