Overview
Creative Support is a national not-for-profit care provider specialising in support for adults with a wide range of needs including learning disabilities, mental health needs and elderly care. We work closely with the different local authorities and commissioners to ensure we provide a person centred plan for each service user we support.
We are looking for creative, caring and innovative people to provide personalised support to older adults with a diagnosis of dementia in Ashton-Under-Lyne. Wilshaw House Day Centre is a specialist Dementia community day service providing support for older people with a diagnosis of dementia and cognitive impairment.
Responsibilities
* Provide personalised support to older adults with a diagnosis of dementia and cognitive impairment.
* Deliver respectful personal care and maintain dignity and choice for service users.
* Support service users in daily activities within the day centre environment.
* Assist with transportation requirements as needed (driving a service user minibus if qualified).
Requirements
* Applicants will have good communication skills and be able to provide respectful personal care.
* Age at least 21 years old.
* Full, clean driving license for a minimum of 2 years (essential to drive a service user minibus).
* Experience of providing care and support to older people is essential for this role.

Ashton-Under-Lyne, Wilshaw House Day Centre, a specialist Dementia community day service.
