Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Salary: £40,000 £50,000 per annum (depending on experience) About the Role The company is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join its growing team in Barrow-in-Furness. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and MOT testing while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service. Long-term career development opportunities. Working Hours Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM 5:30 PM Optional Saturday Shifts: 8:00 AM 5:30 PM Overtime paid for all Saturday shifts worked. Key Responsibilities Conduct vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of makes and models. Perform MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations (where qualified). Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults efficiently. Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional work where required. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Adhere to all health and safety procedures within the workshop. Requirements Minimum 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, or MOT Tester. Valid MOT Tester qualification preferred (training may be considered for suitable candidates). Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK Driving Licence. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
