KS1 Teacher – Full-Time, Long-Term
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £34,398 – £46,839 (depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
A friendly and inclusive primary school in the Hemel Hempstead area is looking for a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This role is open to both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are seeking a positive, nurturing environment to develop their teaching skills.
About the Role:
* Deliver engaging and imaginative lessons to a Key Stage 1 class
* Tailor lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of all students
* Support pupils in developing key skills in literacy, numeracy, and social development
* Create a calm and nurturing classroom environment that fosters learning
* Track student progress and use assessments to guide teaching
* Build strong, positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
* Get involved in wider school activities, teamwork, and enrichment programs
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching in KS1 or relevant placements for ECTs
* Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
* Effective classroom management and organisational skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
