We’re partnering with a growing, mid-sized audit and advisory practice with a strong presence in the Midlands. The firm supports a diverse portfolio including owner-managed businesses, charities, and education-sector entities. Responsibilities
* Engagement & Client Management: Manage a portfolio of audit engagements across multiple sectors; act as the key client contact; communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly; review/approve planning, risk assessment, and completion documentation.
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor seniors, semi-seniors, and trainees; provide on-the-job training and feedback; support internal training initiatives; chair team meetings to drive collaboration and knowledge sharing.
* Technical & Compliance: Plan and execute audits in line with ISAs (UK) and the firm’s QA procedures; maintain up-to-date knowledge of FRS 102/IFRS and relevant regulations; resolve complex technical issues or escalate appropriately; support internal quality reviews and risk management.
* Business Support & Development: Assist with proposals, fee quotes, and billing; identify cross-selling opportunities; contribute to practice-wide initiatives and the ongoing improvement of audit methodology; manage budgets, WIP, and timelines to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Requirements
* Qualified ACA/ACCA with relevant audit experience in practice.
* Commercial awareness and a client-focused mindset.
* Proficient with audit software and Microsoft 365.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a car; UK right to work.
