Corporate Real Estate (CRE) is responsible for the strategic support of The Walt Disney Company’s (TWDC) Global Real Estate portfolio, providing subject matter expertise in design and construction to key stakeholders. CRE drives real estate development results while balancing business goals with corporate requirements. A Day in the Life of an Associate Project Manager
* Assist in planning and managing Capital Improvement construction and renovation projects.
* Support architect, engineer, general contractor, and vendor bid processes.
* Prepare project budgets, schedules, and update reports.
* Coordinate project meetings, draft agendas, and track action items.
* Prepare and process project documentation, including funding requests, permits, and contracts.
* Maintain project files and records throughout the project lifecycle.
* Work with architects, engineers, and contractors to track progress.
* Review construction documents, plans, and specifications.
* Conduct site visits to monitor activities, safety, and design adherence.
* Support change order management, including tracking and cost verification.
* Assist in budget tracking, cost forecasting, and invoice processing.
* Manage procurement, bid processes, and vendor contracts.
* Coordinate with finance and procurement teams for approvals and payments.
* Serve as liaison between Disney stakeholders and internal departments.
* Communicate project updates and expectations with business units.
* Support vendor management for timely delivery of services and materials.
* Work with partners to ensure successful project turnover.
Skills Needed for Success
* 5+ years in project design/construction or 3+ years Disney project coordination.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
* Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and tracking.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
* Experience managing recurring capital programs and tenant improvements.
* Knowledge of local/regional building codes and construction best practices.
* Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tools.
* Master’s degree in Construction Management, Real Estate Development, Business, or Architecture preferred.
* Certifications such as PMP, EIT, PE, or Architect’s License are a plus.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
