Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Commissioning Manager to be engaged on a contract basis. We're recruiting a Commissioning Manager for a high-profile Nuclear Defence project in Berkshire, where we act as Construction Manager for AWE. This is a rare chance to be part of one of the UK's most complex infrastructure programmes. Role Overview: You'll lead the commissioning of electronic security systems across a highly secure facility, managing work packages, supplier coordination, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and reporting. Your expertise will ensure all systems are tested, integrated, and operational in line with project goals. Key Responsibilities: Manage and oversee commissioning of electronic security systems Lead supplier test planning, execution, and documentation Coordinate with design, construction, and project teams to meet milestones Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards Drive stakeholder engagement and change management Produce commissioning reports and lessons learned Requirements: Strong experience in commissioning large facilities with electronic security systems Expert knowledge of access control, CCTV, IDS, and PIDS Background in design and delivery of enterprise security systems Defence or similarly complex project experience preferred Degree-qualified or equivalent practical experience Why We're Different: Westlakes Recruit are a people solutions business that understands the complexities of nuclear and the importance of our clients' mission critical objectives.
