We are seeking an experienced, dedicated professional with ambition to make a real difference in the efficient and effective operation of the Fleet Services Department, the rewarding role of Workshop Manager who will: Operationally manage the Fleet Vehicle Maintenance Workshop. Allocate work and deploy resources to ensure the operation of an efficient and effective fleet vehicle maintenance service with a commercial focus in compliance with all statutory requirements. Undertake the day to day management of Technicians in accordance with all Council policies HR, Finance, IT etc. Monitor the progress and quality of vehicle repairs in both the council’s own workshop and third party workshops and advise Fleet Administrators accordingly. Hold a MOT Test Centre Management CG Level 3 Award. To succeed in this role, you will bring knowledge, experience and technical skills relating to statutory requirements and health and safety. A current full UK driving licence is an essential requirement for this role and holding Category Class C.
