Maintenance Electrician – Healthcare Environment
Romford | £43,925 + £1,249 Call-Out Retainer | Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week + On-Call Rota
Alice Rose is recruiting for an Electrician to join a busy estates team within a large healthcare facility. This role focuses on maintaining critical building services, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance across the site.
As part of the electrical maintenance team, you’ll carry out PPM, statutory inspections, reactive repairs and minor installation works across a wide range of plant and systems. You’ll also support fault-finding on complex electrical equipment, liaise with contractors, and ensure all work meets regulatory and safety standards.
Maintenance Electrician Key Responsibilities:

Deliver planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the hospital estate.

Fault-find, diagnose and repair electrical systems including lighting, distribution, controls, generators, fire alarms, security systems and more.

Support compliance with HTM06, electrical safety regulations and statutory PPM requirements.

Work safely in clinical and plant environments, ensuring health & safety standards are upheld.

Assist with minor installation works, upgrades and contractor management.
*
Use CAFM systems to manage and record maintenance activities.
*
Participate in the on-call and 7-day cover rota.
Maintenance Electrician Requirements:

Completed apprenticeship or structured training in Electrical Engineering.
*
City & Guilds (or equivalent) electrical qualifications.
*
Strong experience within building services or maintenance environments (healthcare experience desirable).
*
Confident managing priorities, working independently and resolving complex faults.
*
Flexible to support overtime, on-call duties and occasional emergency callouts.
