Astute are working on behalf of a leading operator of Energy from Waste plants to find a Project Engineer for their largest assets located in the South East of England.
The Energy from Waste site in the Kent area has a capacity to process 550,000 tonnes of waste per year, generating 34MW of power for the surrounding area.
As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for taking the site lead on all plant & equipment upgrades from conception through to delivery & execution.

Responsibilities and duties of the Project Engineer role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Responsible for the conception, delivery & execution of plant process and equipment upgrade projects on the facility.
* Carry out risk assessments, tender specifications, and progress reports on projects.
* Manage, monitor & evaluate third party sub-contractors engaged on site.
* Support the wider Engineering team with the planning and completion of outages across three waste processing lines and also steam turbine & generator.
* Coordinate & manage all statutory inspections for lifting & pressure systems covering steam boilers, common systems & auxiliary equipment.
* Provide technical support on plant issues.
