Role Overview

Our esteemed school in South Tyneside is seeking a compassionate and capable Autism Support Worker to join our team. This full-time role offers stability and the opportunity to support students with complex needs on the autistic spectrum.
Your Responsibilities
1. Student Support: Provide assistance to students with autism in both group and one-on-one settings.
2. Classroom Assistance: Help students with classwork as needed.
3. Daily Routines: Assist students with their daily routines and activities.
4. Team Collaboration: Work with the team to develop and implement Education Healthcare Plans (EHCPs).

Qualifications
* Experience: Previous experience as an Autism Teaching Assistant or Support Worker is preferred but not essential.
* Attitude: A positive and encouraging attitude.
* Skills: Experience in behaviour management.

Pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent later.
