Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this position offers a superb opportunity to join an inspiring and innovative business headquartered in Leamington Spa.
The role is suitable for a proactive self-starter with excellent numeracy skills and the ability to manage a small team. Candidates should ideally be qualified ACCA, CIMA, or ACA. Preference will be given to those with experience in a tech-based business or practice background.
This is an office-based position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Main duties include:
1. Leading the financial and accounting functions of the organization.
2. Managing the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
3. Ensuring compliance with finance and accounting policies and maintaining robust financial controls.
Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
1. Leading accounting and bookkeeping activities, including managing and developing an offshore team of three.
2. Preparing monthly management accounts with insightful commentary.
3. Reconciling revenue and UA (COS) with external dashboards for accurate reporting.
4. Ensuring accuracy of financial data through reconciliations and transaction processing.
5. Processing and reviewing journals for accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
6. Preparing weekly cash flow forecasts, monitoring cash flow, and completing daily bank reconciliations.
7. Preparing and reviewing weekly payment runs.
8. Managing monthly payroll, ensuring timely payments and filings.
9. Handling VAT returns, payroll, and ONS submissions in a timely manner.
10. Preparing royalty statements accurately and sending them to third parties.
11. Maintaining and improving financial controls, policies, and procedures.
12. Assisting the Group Financial Controller with year-end audits and acting as the main contact for queries.
13. Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders to support financial objectives.
14. Performing ad-hoc tasks as assigned by line management.
