Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Physical Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles among students. This role involves teaching a diverse range of physical education activities, fostering a positive learning environment, and encouraging students to develop their skills in sports and fitness.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and effective physical education lessons that cater to the varying abilities of students.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
* Manage student behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful classroom environment.
* Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development in physical education.
* Organise and supervise sports events, competitions, and extracurricular activities related to physical fitness.
* Collaborate with other teachers to integrate physical education into the broader curriculum.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student performance and behaviour.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
Qualifications
* Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience in teaching physical education at the primary or secondary level is preferred.
* Strong background in sports coaching with the ability to teach various sports and physical activities.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Strong organisational skills to manage lesson planning and student assessments effectively.
* Knowledge of behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
