The Opportunity
We are excited to offer a compelling opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Quarry Supervisor at our Uttoxeter sand and gravel quarry. In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will oversee quarry operations, ensuring the highest levels of safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship. This position reports directly to the Quarry Manager and offers a unique chance to lead a team within a forward-thinking company deeply committed to innovation and sustainable practices.
Key Responsibilities Oversee daily quarry operations and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Manage and direct the activities of quarry staff and deploy resources effectively to meet production targets.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the prompt delivery of high-quality materials.
Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and minimise environmental impact.
Conduct and document regular site inspections to adhere to safety and operational standards.
Who Are We Looking For? Proven experience in a supervisory role within a quarry or mining environment.
Strong commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards.
Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team.
Solid understanding of quarry operations and production processes.
SHE Level 4 qualification is desirable
GEO Tech Level 4 qualification is desirable
Good IT and systems knowledge for reporting and operational management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
