Traffic Management Officer - Temporary Opportunity Kendal, Cumbria £20.23 - £20.71 per hour 6 months (with potential extension) Are you a skilled Traffic Management professional looking for your next challenge? We're recruiting for a leading Public Sector client who needs an experienced Traffic Management Officer to join their Transport team. The Role: Working from their Kendal base, you'll be responsible for delivering critical traffic management solutions across the South Lakeland locality. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on local infrastructure whilst enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working (minimum 3 days in office) and the potential for condensed hours. What You'll Be Doing: • Preparing, writing and delivering Traffic Regulation Orders with full sign and road marking implementation • Designing and delivering permanent traffic management schemes using framework contracts and AutoCAD • Creating innovative solutions such as Zebra Crossings and comprehensive sign/road marking improvement schemes • Managing stakeholder relationships and leading public consultation processes • Collaborating with a dedicated team committed to sustainable transport solutions Essential Requirements: ✓ Proven experience in preparing and delivering Traffic Regulation Orders ✓ Strong background in designing permanent traffic management schemes using AutoCAD ✓ Demonstrated stakeholder management and public consultation experience ✓ Full UK driving licence essential ✓ Available to start ASAP What's On Offer: • Competitive hourly rate: £26.31 - £26.94 • Full-time hours: 37 hours per week • Initial 6-month contract with strong potential for extension • Hybrid working arrangements available • Flexible approach to condensed hours • Opportunity to work in one of the UK's most beautiful regions Ready to Drive Change in Traffic Management?
