Job Purpose / Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Materials Management Requestor to join the Maintenance Team within the site Comm-Ops Directorate. Based at Hinkley Point C, you will be part of an expanding multidisciplinary team. The role involves supporting end-to-end material requisition processes, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials needed for construction. You will coordinate with project managers, suppliers, cataloguing teams, and warehouse teams to meet inventory needs, focusing on data accuracy and enabling all parties to transact efficiently.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Collaborate with project managers, procurement teams, and suppliers to ensure accurate data in digital tools used within the HPC project.
2. Manage the ‘Shipment Readiness Process’.
3. Coordinate cataloguing teams across digital platforms, fixing and maintaining contract data to meet shipment schedules.
4. Manage and execute data transfers within digital tools as required.
5. Participate as a quorate member of the ASN deviation forum.
6. Manage maintenance requests from the ASN deviation forum.
7. Govern process adherence and data quality in flows between digital tools.
8. Generate regular reports on material requisition status, outstanding orders, and performance metrics.
9. Support cataloguing and processing of Sensitive Nuclear Information, reporting to the Material Management Coordinator.
The Person
We seek an experienced, technically competent Materials Management Requester willing to contribute their knowledge to ensure all Equipment and Materials used in the Mechanical, Electrical, and HVAC phases of HPC construction are accurately captured in digital tools, supporting a robust lifecycle management process.
The Skills
1. Strong attention to detail when working with data.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Understanding of data sources, organization, and storage.
4. Proficiency in IT, including Excel and PowerPoint.
5. Experience working with large datasets.
6. Knowledge of Power BI.
7. Experience with digital tools used in materials management.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
2. Experience with digital tools managing materials from supply chain to installation, e.g., Enterprise Asset Management software, is advantageous.
3. Previous experience on the HPC project is a plus.
