We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. As a Customer Service Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
Since the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will constantly seek ways to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.
With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural and great service.
* Encouraging customers to give feedback via the ‘have your say’ survey.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Practicing safety in all work activities based on training received.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to foster an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out at shift start and end to ensure accurate payment.
* Following security procedures and using safety equipment to keep everyone safe.
* Adhering to the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organized store environment.
* Potentially managing the shift in the absence of a Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Following all safety and legal training to ensure a safe store environment.
* If applicable, handling the day-to-day operations of a Post Office Local, including passing necessary background checks.
