About the role:
The purpose of this role is to manage the day-to-day warehouse operations effectively and efficiently, collaborating with Service Partners and staff. You will motivate, coach, and develop shift managers to ensure high-quality standards across all areas of the operation.
The main goal is to achieve excellent service standards and work with the Site/Area Manager to meet KPIs and company standards aligned with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a thorough understanding of warehouse operations to ensure service levels are met.
* Ensure regular employee briefings in line with company communications and strategies.
* Maintain compliance with company policies and KPIs, upholding high standards across the business.
* Manage employee performance, conducting reviews as per company procedures.
* Monitor costs and staffing levels to ensure alignment with targets.
* Ensure adherence to guidelines regarding punctuality, attendance, appearance, and work performance.
* Plan and forecast staffing needs based on productivity requirements.
* Perform other duties reasonably required or instructed by the Site/Area Manager.
Ideal candidate:
* Experience managing shifts in the parcel industry.
* Leadership experience with a team of at least 12 members.
* Skills in statistical analysis and data processing.
* Proficiency with relevant computer systems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, compliant with Data Protection Regulations.
