About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with SEN in a welcoming and supportive Blackburn primary school. The role involves working closely with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals to support the child’s learning, development, and well-being throughout the school day. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support to a child with SEN, both in and out of the classroom Assist with personalised learning plans and activities Support the child’s emotional and social development Monitor and record progress, communicating regularly with teaching staff and parents/carers Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment Requirements: Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting) A patient, caring, and resilient attitude Good communication and teamwork skills Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA qualification) are desirable but not essential Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one) We Offer: A friendly and supportive school environment Ongoing training and professional development opportunities All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
