The Compliance and Controls Specialist is responsible for managing all risk and control activity within the First Line of Defence. The role works closely with governance, data protection, and risk oversight teams to ensure the organisation meets regulatory, corporate compliance, and industry requirements. The position also oversees compliance‑related processes for the UK Dealer Network.
Essential
1. Strong understanding of risk management, compliance, and internal control frameworks
2. Knowledge of UK regulations, the UK Automotive sector, and the automotive finance environment
3. Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capability
4. Ability to plan ahead, manage priorities, and operate independently
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
6. High attention to detail and strong quality mindset
7. Ability to challenge existing processes and influence improvements
8. Experience working with operational processes and systems within a finance or regulated environment
9. Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Desirable
10. Experience in sales or operations
11. Previous supervisory or team leader experience
12. Experience collaborating with manufacturer or national sales colleagues
13. Experience using data manipulation tools (., Alteryx) or the ability to learn new systems quickly
