Band 8a (£) Highly Specialised Paediatric Pharmacist - 15 hours per week (Monday & Friday)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious, professional and highly motivated pharmacist to join our Acute Pharmacy Team within Childrens services as part of the Women and Childrens Pharmacy team. The post will be based at the Royal Aberdeen Childrens Hospital (RACH) and clinical work will be within the paediatric service.
RACH is a purpose build facility that supports children and families with healthcare needs across the Grampian region, Orkney and Shetland. We are a friendly, inclusive and forward thinking pharmacy team that is committed to delivering high quality pharmaceutical care and achieving the best possible outcomes for our patients.
You will develop, deliver and evaluate highly specialised pharmaceutical care for patients within the paediatric service and on occasion support the Women's and Neonatology service as this is part of the team. There is also a small requirement to provide professional and clinical supervision in our RACH dispensary. Training and support will be provided where there are gaps in knowledge/ experience.
You will be an experienced clinical pharmacist with good clinical knowledge and the ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of the multidisciplinary team. You will also be required to take an active role in the supervision, mentoring and training of staff and students, and to participate in audit and research.
This role includes a commitment to weekend and public holiday working.
