Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and lead a group of young learners effectively. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to thrive.
Duties
* Develop and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Provide high-quality care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and collaboration.
* Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, providing feedback to parents as necessary.
* Support the management team in maintaining nursery standards, policies, and procedures.
* Assist in the planning of daily routines and ensure that all activities are inclusive and cater to the diverse needs of children.
* Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
* Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
* A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is highly desirable.
* Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff members effectively.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting children if required.
* A genuine passion for childcare with a commitment to creating a positive learning environment for young children.
