Night Vet (Maternity Cover) - MiNightVet Bristol - Salary up to £60k FTE depending on experience
Would you like to try nights for a year before deciding if it's for you? Are you looking for a new clinical challenge while maintaining a great work-life balance? Would you like to work with a varied and interesting caseload within a hospital in Bristol?
If yes, this opportunity is just what you're looking for, as we are seeking an OOH Small Animal Vet to join our night team from August for a year!
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and caring Vet to join us at our dedicated out-of-hours service in Bristol.
Our MiNightVet service complements our fantastic day team within Highcroft Veterinary Hospital, Bristol. Located conveniently within Bristol, away from the city centre, with good transport links (20 minutes to Temple Meads Train Station and Bristol Airport).
Our facilities include CT, digital x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, laparoscopy, multi-parameter monitoring, and a wide range of instrumentation to perform specialist orthopaedic surgery.
Our team includes certificate holders in surgery, exotics, ophthalmology, imaging, ECC, cardiology, and medicine to provide support as needed. We also have an exotics department to support exotic cases in the evening.
We pride ourselves on high standards of care and are looking for like-minded vets who share these principles.
You will enjoy a rota pattern of 7 nights on, 14 nights off (8pm-9am), with holiday and CPD allowance included in the rest period. You will not be required to work any other days alongside this. We are flexible and happy to discuss a reduced number of nights per month if you are seeking a part-time role. Tell us what works for you!
Each shift is supported by a twilight vet until midnight, with 2 RVNs all night and 2 PCAs during each night shift. The team is friendly and approachable, fostering a positive working atmosphere. Many team members work a combination of days and nights, promoting good collaboration between shifts.
