Retail Security Officer role at Amberstone Security.
Base pay
Base pay range: £12.50 per hour. The range is provided by Amberstone Security. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Responsibilities
* Provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities.
* Carry out guarding responsibilities in store, such as patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity.
* Assess and identify vulnerabilities, and work proactively to minimise risk.
* Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
* Conduct colleague and contractor searches as required in line with customer company policy.
* Digitally report incidents and use tablets/phones for daily activity planning.
* Provide detailed, legible incident reports to assist the Client and Local Authorities.

Location: Kirkcaldy, McKenzie Street 49
Hours: 50
Shift Pattern: Tuesday to Saturday 12:00-22:00
The Person / Qualifications
To be an effective Security Officer, you will need to be a confident communicator and be able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity. You will need to be welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict professionally.
Required Experience and Qualifications
* You must have a valid SIA licence to apply for this role.
* Previous experience in a Retail Security role is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
